A Guide for Grown-Up Idealists

If you wish to change the world and alleviate some unnecessary suffering, Jacqueline Novogratz maintains that you’re going to encounter resistance from a rather predictable cast of characters (e.g., cynical journalists, market fundamentalists, impatient venture capitalists, progressive bullies, narrow-minded nationalists, thieving employees, corrupt businessmen with two sets of books, government bureaucrats looking for bribes, intellectuals who like to complain about everything but do nothing, etc.).
