Even if it’s not politically correct to say so anymore, everyone still knows that alphas and omegas are ruled by their biology. Alphas still dominate, omegas still submit, and horny college kids in heat let their hormones dictate poor choices every day.

Not me and my roommates, though. Not if I have anything to say about it. Too many of our classmates here at Preston College have gotten knocked up and then dropped out. Given up their goals and dreams just because they’ve met an alpha with a big...ego. The point here is that there’s only one surefire way to avoid that trap, and that’s why I started the Omega Celibacy Club. No sex until graduation. No unexpected pregnancies. No alphas needed.

And no, I’m not just saying that because I’ve been hung up on one particular alpha for approximately ever. I’m totally over Hunter King. I mean, not that there was ever anything to get over. Our families have been friends forever and he dated my sister back when I was still just a kid, but even if me and my right hand may have pined for him once upon a time, I barely ever think of him anymore.

I mean never. I never think of him anymore.

Weddings are a great place to get laid, but when I show up for my ex’s big day, I’m hoping to get a lot more than that. I’ve never admitted it, but the reason I broke up with her all those years ago was because of her brother. One look at little Simon Lawson and I was a goner. Of course I didn’t say anything though, not back then. I didn’t touch him. Always kept my distance. I had to, because he was just a kid...but he’s all grown up now.

I’ve bided my time for years, but now I’m ready to see if the feeling is mutual. And if it is, I know exactly what I want. I want Simon. I want a family. And I want it forever. And even though I’ve never been the kind of alpha who imposes his will on omegas, when I finally realize just what it is that my omega needs, I know I’ll do anything at all to make that forever happen.

Always on each anothers minds but never doing anything about it. When an unexpected opportunity arises, Hunter steps up in a huge way.
Simon had pledged himself to his celibacy club with his friends, but life throws him a curveball when he least expects it.
They were fated to be, it was in the science.

This was a surprisingly good tale, with excellent characters and a good explanation, especially with Emmett's scientific knowledge added into it.

The narration was done well this time around and each character was discernible.

good listen

good sweet feel-good book. It had me laughing on the train all day long. It made the time fly by. Charlie did a great job with this book and all the humor. I really like it.

A Club And Decisions

This is the first book in The Omega Celibacy Club Series. A delightful book the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters interesting. The characters were developed and thought out. Hunter is an Alpha and Simon is an Omega and they are the MC’s of this book. Charlie David does a great job narrating this book. It has great highs and lows with good expression. So, it is not monotone, and he has different voices for each character. I can recommend this book as a good read/listen. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

Great!

Awesome start to a series. Simon and Hunter story is full of adorable sexy moments that can't be beat. I loved the dynamic with the Omega/Alpha and how they came together and broke stereotypes. First time Charlie David narration for me and it fit this story perfectly. Tone and flow made a smooth listen from chapter to chapter. I loved all the characters and his voice brought out all their personalities!

Ok story

This story was not for me. It was written well but I was not a fan of the fact that Simon was made to be an omega who is whinny and can’t do anything without his alpha Hunter. I thought Simon was going to be a strong omega from the beginning of the story but then he went against everything he said. Hunter is sweet and always wanting to do the right thing and take care of Simon.

Perfection!

I absolutely love this story so much! Simon and Hunter's story is just so funny and sweet. I love reading this story but listening to the audiobook is just perfection. Charlie David does such an amazing job in bring the characters chemistry to life that I just could feel in even more. Just everything is perfect and made the story so much more. Amazing job!

A nice easy, low angst story.

Make Me Give In is my first Angel Knots book but I've listened to several by Charlie David. This story was so hot I thought my phone might catch on fire while I was listening to it. 😊

The story is told in first person, with chapters alternating between Simon and Hunter. Simon and his other omega friends don't want to give up their career goals and become tied down to an alpha so they form the Omega Celibacy Club. They agree not to have sex until they have finished school and are on their way to achieving their career goals.

This is all well and good until Simon's secret crush, Hunter, comes to help him when he has an unexpected heat. What Simon doesn't know is that Hunter has wanted him for years but had to wait until Simon got a little older before saying anything.

I really don't think I've read an MPREG story where the sexy time was any hotter than it is in this book. Just WOW! But in addition to that we have Hunter who is the perfect alpha. All he cares about is the wellbeing of his omega. This is a great, low angst, fluffy story.

I love Charlie David's audiobooks. I had just a tiny bit of trouble telling the difference between characters in this one. It's possible that it was me, though, because I was performing household chores while listening. However, that doesn't usually distract me from what I'm listening to. In any case, this was a great book to listen to and I enjoyed it very much.

Very Steamy

Lots of sex scenes for a book about a celibacy club ;). The lead character wasn't always my cup of tea, too easily overwrought and in his own head about everything for my tastes, but that's just a personal preference. The supporting characters intrigued me. I enjoyed the groundwork to establish the world and the series. Some great moments stood out and others made me laugh. Interesting start to a series overall.

Good intentions Great outcomes

I liked the support and connection Hunter gave to Simon. He waited a long time to claim his fated mate, and he was all in oncehe did. I liked that Simon had a long time secret crush on Hunter too! Tristan was like an over excited puppy- bouncey and everywhere at once. I liked the four omega roomates and would love to follow each in their own stories. They all were unique and added to the storyline. I liked that both main characters wanted what was best for each other- selfless!! I loved when Hunter went all alpha and made sure Simon got his vision and his dreams come true. I wasn't a fan of Hunter's alpha mom at all. They were both alphas. so she needed to step off!! She was an interfering, rigid, overbearing alpha posturing and very unlikable imo. Back off mommy! The narrator was awesome with the voices and expressions. He totally nailed each character. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this story and am giving an honest review.

Would listen again

There was so much to love about this book! It had tons of character depth, lots of emotion, plenty of believability. It was smart and funny. The side characters were just as important to the story as the main characters. So many good things.

My main issue was that the two MC's had supposedly known each other for years, had been in the same circles, and had each fallen hard, but the timing was off. What happened? Where was THAT story? It seemed like Hunter showed up and that was it. I missed the entire falling in love part.

If I take a step back from that one niggling detail, this was a perfect story!! Charlie David is a new favorite and I loved his husky Hunter voice in this. I would definitely recommend and listen again!
