I am an Alexandria House Stan!!!
What another great story...I’ll be honest, coming off the heels of Adenrele Ojo it’s difficult to get into Mari’s voice in the same way; however, once I adjust her speed it balances out some. Beyond that, I’m just so super into these stories. They’re a perfect addition to the genre; fantastical, yet down to earth in a way where you can still see yourself being potentially swept away like this. I love Alexandria’s work; keep doing your thing sis!

so I really liked this book
okay I love anything Alexandria House puts out, I was skeptical about continuing this series not because of the story but because of the female narrator when I listened to the first book I was like no no no. this book Mari was more in however there wee still parts that got me. one being I wanted to here Jakobi diem voice more I wished they would have let hom read the poem parts during her time. I loved the story line I will be listening to the next good job AH.

What I really love about Alexandria’s book is how intertwined they are.
On another note… Ummm not enough Jakobi for my liking all of the poetry should’ve been read by him!!!

Story and Jakobi 🔥🔥🔥
Why couldn't Jakobi read all of Niles Poems! Mari couldn't even pronounce 2Pac's name correctly. This is one of my favorite stories. Niles' Poems are Everything and Mari ruined them. 😔

Love Love LOVE this book!

Made to Love
I’ve said it once, and I’d say it again. Alexandria is a woman after my own heart. The way that she write black love is outstanding and I’m here for it. This book was just as good if not better than the first one. I’m on to the next one.

Great book
Ms. House is becoming one of my favorite authors. I just love all of her books. Well written, some is a little predictable but the helpless romantic in me stills love it. I could listen to anything Jakobi reads.
