Good

For me this book was just okay. My gut is telling me that it would have been better with a different narrator.

Very sweet

Great story wonderfully written and performed. So glad I got this book. Can't really go wrong with Mrs Atwood.

Loved It!

I loved, loved, loved this sweet story! I listened to over half of it on audio book and the narration was really good. Then, I switched to reading it on ebook, as that was more convenient for me at the time, and I zoomed through the story, hardly able to set it down.

The growth from friends to a married couple to actual attraction and love was beautifully and believably done. This marriage of convenience story was a sweet read and the relationship between Lyndsey and Shep was so wonderful. I also enjoyed that the little boy was believable in this novel.

This was my first book to read from this author and now I look forward to reading many more.

great christian book

mother raising son alone after unexpected death of her husband. her best friend died from cancer. that friend's husband had promised to look after the wife if anything happened to him. mother raising her young son was in overwhelming debt....could she ever love again....how would she ever to be able to pay her bills? could she ever overcome her pride enough to accept the help offered? is there any way out of her situation? this book has a wonderful ending..( and, YAHOO, no illicit sex). this is a clean romance. it is neat to see how god works everything out. highly recommend this book!!

Sweet Story

This is a great story & I hope the next books in the series go to audio too.

This is a very sweet and loving story. The author did a really good job with a plot that, in this day and age, might not seem plausible. Both of the main characters are quite charming and genuine. I found myself caring about them and what happened to them. I would definitely read more by this author.

Enchanting

A lovely story of new beginnings and reminders of God's grace and good plan. We already know the ending. It is the journey and roads traveled that make the story.

Started as a Friendship

The storyline was good. The recoding was good, but the narration was lacking... it was hard to follow and hard to know what was actually going on (some areas were thoughts of a character- but it wasn’t clear that those things weren’t actually spoken as narrated). But overall I’d listen to it again and recommend it for those who don’t always have time to sit with a book- like me. Author did change voice to distinguish between the characters.

Narrator read in a very monotonous voice.

Also, the story was developed too slow to hold my interest even if the idea behind it was good.

Not modern at all

For a story under "Modern Conveniences" the language is sadly antiquated. These are supposed to be young adults in current times and the language is so off-base & unrealistic it's impossible to connect with the characters. One of only a handful of books I've quit reading mid-story in my life.
