Ancient cultures around the world spoke of a vast cycle of time with alternating dark and golden ages; Plato called it the Great Year. Most of us were taught in school that the dark ages were real but the golden age was just a universal myth. Everything I hoped it would be, and more!

I’ve been sitting on this book, waiting for the right time to begin. After re-reading The Yugas by Joseph Selbie, I felt I was ready.

Although the bulk of the ideas we’re already known to me, the depth and breadth of the work was far greater than I expected. I was thoroughly impressed by Cruttenden’s ability to bridge the gap between science and metaphysics, between our age and the ancients’.

I highly recommend this amazing book to anyone with an open mind and a hopeful heart. The concept of cyclical time is far more encouraging for our species than the outdated, linear model.

Shockingly well supported

Lines up well with new discoveries that push the calendar back to a sophisticated high civilization during the last ice age, that was likely ancient even then. Also fits with new models of our velocity and motion through space. Old and new sciences meet often these days, and tell a convincing tale in many texts, among which this has earned it’s place. Very compelling.

Lost Star of Myth and Time presents a compelling case – that the rise and fall of civilizations (as well as of human consciousness) follow a cycle of time that can be linked with the precession of the equinox. The hypotheses presented in Cruttenden’s work are not just persuasive, but plausible.
