The author was a caregiver and then, went through his own cancer diagnosis and treatments. These provided the experiences to learn how to recognize and manage the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual challenges that everyone must face during these difficult times.

Although each person's path is different in some aspects, everyone has common hurdles that must be conquered during and after treatments. The book provides insights that can be applied to not only survive, but thrive.
