What an amazing man

The bravery and peace that Kent had as he struggled to survive with Ebola, and all credit went to God

Amazing! I love this book. Kent and Amber are amazing people! Praise the Lord for Kent's recovery. May their story bless the people of Liberia with better healthcare and a belief in Jesus.

Very affecting true account of faith

Kent and Amber do an incredible job of bringing the listener into the story. The Ebola virus was a story happening when I was in my own health battle with Lyme disease and didn’t have television, so I was only vaguely aware that it had people in an uproar. Listening to this made me realize how truly awful the disease is and the devastation it caused in Africa.

I’m hoping to find a book detailing the development of the antibody treatment which sounds like a fascinating piece of history as well

Moving story, Not my favorite readers

I found Kent & Amber Brantly’s story to be well-written, thoughtful and spiritually compelling. It’s a difficult book because of the topic, but handled with sensitivity and compassion. I was drawn into the story enough to put up with my annoyance with the readers. Kaleo Griffith has a great voice but reads REALLY slowly with frequent LONG pauses. I don’t enjoy Sarah Zimmerman’s reading generally as she has a bit of a sing song thing going on. It’s not as bad in this book as some others I’ve heard.

Heartfelt and humbling story ❤️

What A Story!

As a Public Health major, the Ebola crisis in west Africa is udder horror to me. This book highlights relationship between patients and their care providers. As well as how Hope, love, compassion and faith are equally as relevant in the medical field. Would recommend to any one, religious or not.

A Bingeworthy Memoir

I was reminded of Dr. Brantly’s story while watching a series about Ebola over the holidays. I remember being afraid when it was announced that he and Nancy Writebol would be returning to the U.S. for treatment. After listening to this book, I learned so much more about the difference in treatment capabilities in Africa and the U.S. more importantly, Dr. Brantly and his wife’s story of resilience and faith and the little miracles along the way were amazing. Couldn’t stop listening. Truly a man with a servant’s heart.
