Make narrator’ Australian accent leaves a bit to be desired BUT…besides that this is a really good book. Surprise baby is one of my least favorite tropes yet I enjoyed this story of two people dealing with real issues in a real and messy way. I didn’t love the friends, however I think it’s because they weren’t written as perfect friends who always say the right thing. So mush REALNESS in this one. Worth the credit!

Ok ok… hear me out… for a book with one of my least favorite tropes, I actually really enjoyed this! Quick hits:

💛 surprise pregnancy
💛 opposites attract
💛 cinnamon roll hero (Rake is everything 💕)
💛 hysterical heroine who is a baker and has ADHD (large emphasis on her diagnosis throughout the story, which was great)

When a one night stand turns into a pregnancy, Lizzie and Rake decide to make it work - Rake moves to the states (he’s Australian!) and is determined to co-parent. The rest of the story unfolds whereby Lizzie and Rake slowly fall in love and it’s hard to not adore this fun, silly, heart warming, witting, and smutty story! This story also has great friendships and takes us through Lizzie’s challenging family dynamics (her parents are the WORST and very toxic). Honestly though, by the end of this story, I was literally saying “awwww” out loud and smiling like a loon. Rake is just the best and I would think it difficult to not just love him immediately ❤️

This book was so fun and different!
I loved Lizzie and all the representation of real people! The way she and Rake dealt with everything, and the growing love and romance.
I was a fun read!

Loved everything about this book

I loved the characters, the spice, and the storyline. It made me have all the feels and when a book does that then you know it deserves 5 ⭐️

It was ok

This story was ok. I got this one sale but wish it was part of my membership. I love surprise pregnant them but this one didn’t do it. Didn’t care for h and female reader. Unfortunately she read majority of this story. I skipped so many parts and felt like I didn’t miss anything. I also didn’t care for third person. If you want to fall to sleep, third person and chaos h, this story is for you.
