amazing story and book and I loved hearing it in her own voice.

The book is full of raw honesty.

I loved this book. When I first started listening, I kept thinking how horrible that this poor woman was made a scape goat by the banks and the government. But by the end of this beautiful story about acceptance, and forgiveness, I have come full circle no longer seeing her as a victim but a thriver. Beautifully done Portia.

This “memoir” I suppose is a good term for it was worth the listen. She provided insight and perspective while sharing with the world how she had to change to become a better person.

Nice to have a women’s prison represented differently than the sordid, dark place the movies represent it to be.

I started listening to you read your book in the late evening last night; I could not stop until you had shared every word! And now, this morning, I want more!
I can't even imagine going through that very long hell of separation from your children and family.
The greatest lesson I took from your book was learning to stand up and take responsibility for your life!
I have suffered with a lot of different addictions through my life. I have also struggled to take responsibility for my actions as well. As an LDS woman, I want more! Our community needs more of the lessons of Portia's life! I'm looking forward to your next book! I think there's more that only you can teach a woman like me!

Makes me want to go to prison

It has been a joy to listen to Portia Louder telling her story. I have long had a desire to volunteer in a prison in some way and this book encourages me on that path. There is so much love and light in this book. This book is for anyone who loves stories of overcoming and transformation through trials.
