This “memoir” I suppose is a good term for it was worth the listen. She provided insight and perspective while sharing with the world how she had to change to become a better person.

Loved the story. Loved how she narrated this and highly recommend to anyone who wants to be inspired. I also love how she included things for the reader to do for someone else in a hard situation.

Very inspiring read

Portia shares her very real and person story of going from everyday life to federal prison. She shares the ups and downs of her experience. I have a family member that was recently incarcerated and she was able to read the book as well. As a supporting family member, it helped me gain perspective and better support her experiences. It opened great discussions. My family member also found it inspiring and helpful. True audible version is great but Portia herself. A must read.

Beautifully Heartwrenching

I started listening to you read your book in the late evening last night; I could not stop until you had shared every word! And now, this morning, I want more!
I can't even imagine going through that very long hell of separation from your children and family.
The greatest lesson I took from your book was learning to stand up and take responsibility for your life!
I have suffered with a lot of different addictions through my life. I have also struggled to take responsibility for my actions as well. As an LDS woman, I want more! Our community needs more of the lessons of Portia's life! I'm looking forward to your next book! I think there's more that only you can teach a woman like me!
