Good read

Informative about early American history and how the borders were expanded and set. Let's you get a feel for the men and their personalities, that had power and authority over the expansion itself.

Very well done hitting main points on all featured people!! Flows very well. Great Job!!

Pretty good

Some chapters very enjoyable. I loved the chapters about johnny appleseed, kit carson and davey crocket, great! I thought there was too much info regarding the presidents and way too much on diff battles with mexico.

A great brief overview of western expansion

Fascinating look at the US expansion west, from the early push into the eastern mountains to the push to the Pacific.

Yes. A lot of new insight on some of America's most loved pioneers

Which scene was your favorite?

As a Tennessean, I loved listening about some of our favorite sons. Davy Crockett , Sam Houston etc.

Fantastic book mediocre narrator

As with all Robert Morgan books this one is great. Narrator is mediocre would have been great but his mispronunciation of words sometimes very simple words and the last name of historical figures was a bit annoying still over all I recommend

U.S. Expansion Pre-Reconstruction

A detailed collection of events and history makers regarding the U.S. expansion from D.C. westward
Some Chapters get bogged down in the details that will have some skipping along the chapters. For me, I learned about regional settlements in and around the variety of cities I have lived.
While an educating read, it is not for everyone.

Key players of 2nd generation of US History: 13 colonies to continental US.

The only thing I really disliked was that the reader mispronounced many names of key players and places. It made me have to rewind because it was such an irritating distraction!
