Further attacks and seemingly indiscriminate slaughter ensue, but only serve to bring some of the most dangerous individuals in the Polity into the war. great conclusion to a solid series.
the writing was great, the narration was very nice, characters maintaining an accent across a half dozen books. however the choice of accents was seemingly random. well done, but random.

Neal Asher doesn't disappoint....
Love the story, it's a logical wrap-up of the entire Agent Cormac series, it has galaxy wide battles, AI's galore, Jain technology of size and description, Dragon is a key player.... you get the idea.
There are two words I wish Mr. Asher would use more sparingly:
1) HOWEVER
2) TREACLE
Seriously.
I think it's the usual stuff you expect from Mr. Asher. He loves to describe how the technologies work (and I love it too.... he knows a little too much about chlorine if you ask me), he does a good job filling in the backstory of Dragon and Orlandine ( I started with the Rise of the Jain series, so I appreciate this), and he really explains the Jain much better.
If you enjoy Asher's work, this book will not disappoint you.
