1. Yes, it's going to suck. You're going through grief, perhaps the most painful emotion of them all. There's no avoiding it. But we will get past it.
2. Time will heal you. And it will heal you on its own. Just be patient.
3. Yes, you're losing someone who's "one of a kind..." but there are MANY people who are "one of a kind" in other tantalizing ways. Good things are coming. I promise.

Also keep in mind the number of times you use something... A $50 dollar bottle of shampoo is a much better splurge than a $50 dollar meal, because you eat the meal once, but use the shampoo 20 times.
