Loved.

I really loved reading/learning about the children of Cleopatra. BC of this book I went and read more about them in history and what transpired after their parents death. This book gave a look into the past although fictional there is truth in the events. The characters r young, and it could be considered YA but I enjoyed it greatly and I am looking forward to continuing this series but also reading about Octavia and Julia. Thank u S.Dray for writing this story. Definitely recommend this book.

Well read audiobook. Fun historical fiction

Took me some time to get into it but good book. Great audio book performance.
I like that it provides historical context and uses true history but there is still fictional flare and a little supernatural mixed in. They do it in a way that really describes the ancient Egyptian religion which was nice. Good read before my trip to Egypt even better because it was free with prime.

A history & culture I know so little about

I enjoyed listening to this and learning about a part of the world and history I do not know much about. In my opinion, the only drawback to the story was the "magic" aspect which weighted it much more towards fiction than history.

Not worth the time

I wish this was a better book, because I think the historical characters and place in time are fascinating. But, the book was way too long for the content that was given. I have only read the first book in this series, but seeing as I now know it’s a trilogy, my guess is that the three books could have easily been condensed down to one rather than strung out over a series. I think my issues with the pace, dialogue and narrative probably all boil down to drawing out the story unnecessarily - except for the fact that for as long as the book is, the characters seem relatively undeveloped. This could be because some of the character’s real life details are scant, but that’s were a talented artist can really let their creativity shine. Only the main character seems to age and deepen along with the story, and then only at the very end. If not for a few seemingly misplaced swear words and the occasional act of violence, I would have thought this was a young adult novel rather than aimed at more mature audiences. The reader was fine, the variation of character voices wasn’t as distinct as some others I’ve heard, but overall given the dialogue she was working with I’d say she did well. At the end of the book I’m far more interested in reading more about the historical people named than finishing the series. I’ll save my audible credits for a different title.

Lack Luster

I was intrigued to read a historical fiction story about Cleopatra's children but for some reason it dragged on. I think another reviewer hit the nail on the head when they suggested this is for a younger audience. It was just ok for me I probably will not continue the series.

Great Story

This is a great story, performed well. I highly recommend it for fans of historical fiction or those interested in all things Egyptian.

Cleopatra

I was looking for a historical fiction about Queen Cleopatra...this is about her daughter so I tried it and loved it. Looking forward to the rest of the series. I wish this author would do a stand alone about her mother.

Beautifully ready by Mx. Garcia. This story is everything I was hoping it would be and more. Already purchased the second and third book. This author dove deep for this pearl. Worth every second.
