Unfortunately, Detective Derek Fairfax and Chief Tuck are determined to keep Mia away from the investigation under the guise of being, you know, the actual members of law enforcement - but Mia’s specialty is denial, and she’s more than happy to ignore their orders.

Annabel Chase has an unending imagination. I absolutely Love her sense of humor. She makes me trulyblaugh out loud at times. The humor along somecromance with the great mystery stories always keeps me coming back for more!!! Meghan Kelly does a fantastic job narrating these books too. She brings these fun characters to life!!! ❤❤❤

This series is developing and improving with each book. I look forward to more adventures with Mia, Scarlett, Patrick, Dane, and Derrick.

Bring on the next in series

Annabel Chase has written an exciting new series. The characters are well developed and original. Meghan Kelly, as always, gave a stellar performance. There’s only one other thing I’d like to say, bring on the next in series, and please hurry.

Frustrating

I am giving this series the benefit of the doubt because I really do like Annabel Chase. But I keep waiting for the heroine to blossom (no pun intended) into a state of less obliviousness. The inability to accept magic into the second book is really annoying. And it makes her not seem very intelligent which is really unappealing to me as a reader. There are some fun side characters who I frankly want to spend more time with than the main character.
