New Viking Series

Not my favorite Celeste Barclay novel, possibly because I’m not as fond of the genre as the Regency era or time travel. Overall a well-constructed plot with interesting characters. It’s the first of the series so has plenty of room to explore the tribes. It is a bit shorter than I usually read and in my opinion the people and events could have been more developed. It’s also a little too steamy for my taste.

Too much time spent describing sexual acts

Too much time spent on describing sexual acts then on story. It was a good story line but I ended up skipping large portions. There is a way to move your reader /listener into your story while not describing every sexual detail. Suggestion over description!
