Naturally, as one of the best known conquistadors, Francisco Pizarro (1471/6-1541) is also one of the most controversial. Like Christopher Columbus and Hernan Cortés before him, Pizarro was celebrated in Europe for subduing the Inca Empire, a culture that fascinated his contemporaries. At the same time, naturally, indigenous views of the man have been overwhelmingly negative.

very disappointed in this.

I would think that the history of the conquest of the Incas would provide plenty of interesting material and make a great book. well it should. unless of course it is poorly written.
To me this feels like an absolute bare bones accounting. it does not come close to the story of Cortes in Mexico, and not because ther subject wasnt as compelling. It just appears the author was not very passionate or informed about the subject.
