Resumen del Editor

When robbing a bank in the wrong town made Tom McLean a notorious man, the only way to survive was to run. But he had been in this type of predicament before, and he knew what to do. The posse close behind him meant to see he never made the border. They wanted him bad. But it wasn't to be, for McLean had a good horse under him and a head start.

Then came the woman; was she his ticket to freedom...or his ride to a shallow grave? And then came Poco - he carried a side-by-side double-barreled shotgun and it was more than enough to make up for his small size.

Great read

Where does Legend of the Tumbleweed rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the best

What does James Drury bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Listening to Mr Drury read was like sitting on a porch and listening to a cowboy tell a great story.

Who was the most memorable character of Legend of the Tumbleweed and why?

Tom McLean.

No heroes but not bad

This is not a bad oater as oaters go. It is interesting and I did enjoy it but there are no white hats in this one. Even the posse members are nasty and murderous. I could not give it five stars because it was not a feel good book at the end. A bit depressing.

Another good Jonas book

What did you love best about Legend of the Tumbleweed?

This, like other Jonas books, you will get to know and like the characters. Tom Mclean is a likable character for sure.

Any additional comments?

I would recommend Kirby Jonas stories to anyone who likes to be taken away from reality for a while each day. His books have memorable characters, a good story line, and good dialogue.

First Rate

Well...you have to appreciate westerns but if you do you will find this a first rate epic of the old west, real or imagined. A fine reading and a compelling story.

Descriptions of the land and the weather are real. I live in the west and know that for a fact.
