A Winner about Western Mountain Living

What did you love best about Death of an Eagle?

Kirby Jones knows the western mountains better than most western writers. He teaches survival methods through his major character-Macalister. His descriptions of the area, the Indians, and the characters are vividly portrayed, like a movie in my head.

What did you like best about this story?

Great Plot. Keeps moving. Believable

What about James Drury’s performance did you like?

He read clearly, good volume, and professional.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending was emotional, but realistic, and matched Jose's values and character.

Great western

Having ridden a horse in most of the areas mentioned, it seemed even more real as I read. I had never heard of the Pocatello land rush. Great western tale.

Amazing Story and Narration

This book is a one of a kind. The story is incredibly captivating and feels like you’re really there. Each character is unique and fun in their own ways. They are brought to life by James Drury’s narration. This is a timeless book that I️ will listen to many times.
