I got this for my trip and now I can confidently talk pr even argue with my in-laws… in Spanish! The lessons are way more fun than I expected, and the phrases are actually usefu—- “not just the cat is on the table “. Of you want to level up and laugh a little while doing it, this is your jam.

This book (audiobook) was well put together, easy to follow, and had great lessons throughout the book. It is taught in a very simple way that's easy to understand, which is important because learning another language can be challenging by itself. This is a very useful course, and I like the fact that I can listen to it while walking or in the car. The frequent repetition is very helpful, as that's how I learn.

Finally Speaking Like a Native!

I thought I had Spanish figured out after using some other programs, but when I actually tried to speak it in Mexico, I was totally lost. This audio course was super helpful. I’d listen while driving, and it just clicked. The lessons are super practical and focus on real conversation, not just vocabulary drills. On my next trip, I actually held my own and even got compliments on my accent! The pacing and repetition really helped things sink in. If you're tired of learning textbook phrases and want to sound more like a local, this is the way to go!

A Somewhat Critical Review

Before I get into what I like and dislike about this audiobook, I will begin by discussing what is, in my opinion, the best one of the best part of this learning-Spanish system. With this audiobook, I got free access to the author's weekly Spanish conversation club, which is taught by a native Spanish speaker from Colombia. I attended the free online conversation classes every week that I could because having the chance to actually practice my Spanish with a talented instructor has brought me a step closer to fluency. It is very apparent that the instructor, Paulina, really wants her students to accomplish their learning-Spanish goals. Now let me talk about the audiobook itself.

This audiobook stands out as a thoroughly designed and highly effective resource for intermediate learners of Latin American Spanish. One of its most impressive features is the quality of the voice actors. They are clearly not just any native speakers but well-trained native Spanish-speaking voice-acting professionals, which significantly enhanced my ability to develop an authentic accent and natural pronunciation. The clarity and expressiveness of their delivery make the dialogues and examples both engaging and educational, not to mention quite entertaining.

The balance of grammar instruction is another strong point. Unlike other programs that either overwhelm you with excessive grammatical theory or omit it altogether, this course strikes an ideal balance. Key concepts are explained clearly, concisely, and with just enough repetition to aid retention without becoming tedious. I found the explanations of the Spanish subjunctive particularly effective - better than in any other intermediate-level resource I've used. The course covers the subjunctive in contexts such as expressing desire, possibility, necessity, and in time-related conjunctions. It even clarifies when to use the infinitive instead of the subjunctive after impersonal expressions like "es importante" and "es necesario."

That said, the program is not without its limitations. The voice actor who played the role of the narrator or instructor is not a native English speaker, and his English pronunciation is occasionally imperfect, though this is a minor distraction and hardly detracts from the overall value, especially considering that I did not buy this audiobook to learn to speak English. Another drawback is that the course focuses exclusively on Latin American Spanish; the absence of Castilian features - such as the vosotros form - may limit its usefulness for anyone such as myself who is considering traveling to Spain. I also noted a lack of vocabulary related to social media and modern technology, which is usually covered very thoroughly in Mr. Jackson's other works. Despite these drawbacks, I give this audiobook a full five stars. Its strengths - especially the clear grammar instruction, excellent voice work, and bonus weekly conversation club - make it a standout resource for serious intermediate-to-advanced level Spanish learners.

This Took My Spanish To The Next Level!

I felt stuck after basic Spanish, but “ Learn Intermediate Spanish Like Crazy— Level 2” gave me boost I needed. It dives into more natural conversations, and I started recognizing my phrases from real life— like in movies and ar work! It is fun, challenging in a good way, and way more practical than classroom stuff. Totally recommend if you’re serious about getting past the basics.

Feels Like Spanish Bootcamp ( in a good way)

Level 2 kicked things up a notch, but in the best way possible. The pace pushes you just enough to keep it exciting without being overwhelming. I’ve been using this while driving, and now I can hold longer convos with my Spanish-speaking friends. I love how it doesn’t waste time— just useful, real Spanish from the jump.

Exactly What I Needed to Level Up My Spanish
