Hi friends, my name is Glenda, and teaching foreign languages is my passion! There are a lot of different ways to learn a language--studying books, taking a class, or even watching foreign movies.

But I'm an auditory learner. I have to hear and repeat the language to make it stick. In fact, when I was a teenager taking German classes, I would often make my own (cassette) recordings and study for my tests by listening to them.

A great way to learn German!

My favorite thing about this book is the way it is organized. For every situation they have made a range of expressions and reviewed them in a variety of speeds. This allow more time to pick up on it. And audiobook is perfect to have an example of pronunciation and the ability to rewind. A great reference if you are looking to pick up some German!

What’s nice is that you can repeat it over and over to catch up and clearly understand and practice the pronunciation. It does exactly what it says on the tin.

I'm originally from the UK, and for a long time, Ronseal, a producer of Woodstain, ran a campaign with the slogan, "It does exactly what it says on the tin."

The phrase became part of the everyday vernacular. The line has made it into the Oxford Dictionary of Idioms, been featured in the song ‘What It Says On The Tin’ by Katie Melua, and has even been used by our ex-Prime Minister (PM) David Cameron on multiple occasions to summarise his preferred approach to politics. The phrase represents an open, honest product or policy that delivers against its promise. (So, it was probably misused by our ex-PM.)

The phrase is fitting here because there's not much else to say about "Learn German in Your Car" except that it does exactly what it says on the tin.

This was quite the listen

I've always fancied learning German and never had the opportunity in school. I've tried reading textbooks before and none of it would stick, but this was a bit of a game changer - I could listen to this anywhere and practice wherever and how often I wanted.

Mostly listened to it while driving to work. REally enjoyed it, I'm hoping the author will make a second one.

I wanted to start learning German because with my job there was a chance that I would be able to relocate to Germany for a two-year period. What I really like about this audiobook is that it comes with a PDF you can download after you purchase it, which makes learning the language easier when you can visualize the words. I also really liked the different categories the author decided to teach that make it unique from other language books, such as When Problems Occur, Social Media, Saying No, Agreeing and Disagreeing, and Positive Affirmations to just name a few. Great resource for learning German!
