If you could sum up Lady Legend in three words, what would they be?

Adventure, love, and trust.

What other book might you compare Lady Legend to and why?

I haven't read another book like this one. What was nice was the story wasn't predictable. Sure the couple finds love but the journey was a wonderful change of pace.

What about Liisa Ivary’s performance did you like?

She did a wonderful narration of the book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was hard to put down but it was too long. It took me about 3 days.

Any additional comments?

The story was well written. A story of a soldier who has been attacked and left for dead. Copper finds him and nurses him back to health. The beauty of the story is that Copper learns to trust again. There is a happy ending.

A bit to long

I really liked this read, the characters are interesting but the story should have been wound down sooner, it became a chore in the last 2 hours, the narrator was great......

Sorry Storyteller

The narrator sounded drunk. Good story but I just couldn’t listen anymore after about a dozen chapters I had to quit listening. I really wanted to hear the whole story but the horrible narrator made it impossible.

This book is not my usual genre but, I was wanting something different to listen to while wrapping presents and making Christmas candy. This is a historical romance, with more historical than romance. The Heroine is a white woman abducted by Indians, as a child, then adopted and raised by the very tribe who murdered her family of birth. As an adult, she was given to a cruel man, in an arranged marriage and ultimately outcast when it was discovered that she had a “ healing touch”.

Living as a Mountain woman, alone, except for a few mountain dwelling friends, she runs across the Hero, a white union soldier on deaths door, after an Indian attack. Copper, the Heroine, nurses the Hero(Tucker) back to health, and a timid friendship that slowly turns to more buds between the two. Their path is not a smooth one and their day to day lives are described, in detail, as the author demonstrates the difficult task of survival, in the untamed American frontier.

The book is set at the end of the Civil War, in the new frontier, before settlers start moving west and pushing the Indians out of their ancestral homes. Both Copper and Tucker have emotionally scarred souls and they, eventually, find peace and contentment through friendship and a combined effort to survive the American wilderness during a harsh winter. Their friendship slowly buds into more as the winter passes.

This book is definitely a slow burn. It is very well written, except for the abrupt ending. The author needed to include an epilogue, at least, to raise this book to a five star rating. With that being said, I really did enjoy this listen and recommend it to anyone who enjoys learning more about survival, in the early settling of the American territories.

Great Story!

Liisa Ivary voice is what made the story come alive. Hope to hear from her in more books. Story was wonderful and funny.

This is a great book. Also a great series. Liisa Ivary does a great job narrating this book. I recommend this whole series. I enjoyed all three books.
