driven by first hand accounts and federal files not inspired by opinion and current events. hard to listen to at times due to the atrocious acts inflicted upon children yet interesting and provocative enough to keep you reading. Koresh in my opinion was a madman deserving of what came to him, terrible that it had to harm so many innocent children. worthwhile read.

Great book overall! It is well narrated and both informative and entertaining. Highly recommended! I will definitely be listening to it again.

A balanced look and Koresh and the Waco raid.

Audio quality was good as well as the narration. Author takes the listener from Vernon's (Koresh) abusive childhood, to his struggles with God, to the manipulation he learns as a young adult, to full blown psychotic cult leader. Author does his best to do help the listener understand the Davididians strange theology and Koresh's manipulation of it to empower himself. Author takes a fair look and the ATF's botched investigation and raid, and the FBI's handling of the siege and of the errors that were made. Author tells the sorry not just of Koresh, but of many of the people he manipulated and the lives he destroyed, along with his own.
