What disappointed you about Kinflicks?

Listening to the abridged version was a total waste - I will never get an abridged version again. This abridged version should have an X rating since it seemed to focus only on the sex and jealousy and not the story. Because of this, I have no idea what the point was or what the story was. Plus, I listed to this for book group.... from what my groupmates are saying, I've missed 3/4 of the book so probably won't be able to add much this week.

What could Lisa Alther have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

not agreed to produce an abridged version of her book.

I read Kinflicks years ago and remember it fondly. Why in the world they would create an abridged version is completely beyond me. I am so disappointed.
