Kindread (Kin-Dread) Souls is a dark fantasy that follows the stories of three children. One seeks revenge, one seeks freedom, and the last seeks understanding. While their stories connect through cosmic means, none understand the gravity or the powers at play around them.
These stories take place within the continent of Esme, a land teetering away from prosperity after ending their last great war in a stalemate. The people at large are kept ignorant of the deals made on their behalf, for what is the price of a few thousand souls when it comes to the wealth of an entire nation.
An air of mysticism lingers across the land and within its people as history and religion collide. The gods of Esme have been abandoned to the rise of Valor, for his Knights have swept everything non-human to the brink of extinction. It has been nearly 300 years since Valor brought light back to Esme, but his crusade continues.
The Kindread are considered a bedtime story to those who have not seen the carnage of their aftermath. When only Calisto, the smaller of the two moons, lights the sky, the Kindread are told to snatch whole families and spirit them away in the night leaving few remain behind.
Kindread Souls will keep you guessing as fact and fiction come into question, so trust not the words upon their lips or the color of their eyes. Follow the actions taken and you might just untangle the web of lies that has entangled these children.
