Villanelle is easily one of my favorite characters ever
This was a fun read. “Fully satisfying” is the perfect way to describe it. The part where villanelle says “are you familiar with the term ‘muffin top’” really tickled me.

TV Series probably should have stuck to the book
A lot of fun with unexpected twists. It’s a great adventure and twisted love story.

Fully satisfying
The three-book story has everything and is enjoyably believable. Lucy Paterson makes it the complete experience. I had listened to the whole series before I realized it was the same person voicing all the characters! Ms Paterson is excellent. Her ability to not only do different voices is unmatched, she does so seamlessly during full conversational exchanges. She really sells all of the individual characters through her vocals.
It is easy to see how Luke Jennings’s stories were made into a series. Too bad the series writers didn’t follow his lead more closely. They had the perfect cast and story but mistakenly thought they could improve on something that was perfect as written.

good read

Toxic relationship not gonna lie
I mean, I liked the book, but damn was their relationship... toxic 😳 But the performance of the person speaking was AMAZING. The accents, the emotions - I loved it!

A thrilling ending to a slow series
I was happy to finally have Eve and Villanelle together through the entire book. I was a little confused why we suddenly switched to Eve’s perspective after having the first two in third person. I wish we got to follow Villanelle around the same way we did for the pervious books. I didn’t really like how Charlie’s identity as a non-binary person was taken as a joke through the entire story, it felt like a punchline more than a genuine part of the character. The action scenes were fun and I’m happy our two girl got the happy ending

Love the book and the show.
I love how the books are way more queer than the show. I wish there were different voices for Eve and Villanelle, but you get used to it.
