Best one yet.

First of all, this is NOT like the show on the BBC. however I can’t not always picture Villanelle as Jodie Comet and Eve as Sandra Oh.
I think this is the best one yet. Eve is a bit of a whiner, but the vibe is overall good and it sets things up nicely for the next book.

The Trend Continues

I wasn't crazy about the last installment of the series but compared to this one it was Michael Connelly or Lee Child. I don't watch the television show but perhaps the reason Villanelle is in freefall is due to the fact that the books are following the show here. Eve Polastri has gone from being a big time cop to being a whimpering, simpering ingenue who can't function without Villanelle at her side. In the beginning Villanelle was a sort of female James Bond, as far as I got in this book she only came off as the queen prisoner of Cell Block H. Thus a series that even at it's best was a trifle cheezy at times, has become a disaster; well anyway that's my opinion; it's possible I might be wrong.

Satisfying ending to a thrilling series

Without spoiling the plot, just wanna note how much I enjoyed this ending. Different interpretations of same characters and story archetypes from the show and I actually like them both, but it’s really nice to have this ending as an alternative to the story of Eve and Oxana. The perspective shift in this entry is interesting too and I think it serves the story more. Plus brilliant narration as always with distinct characterizations of different characters.

TV Series probably should have stuck to the book

A lot of fun with unexpected twists. It’s a great adventure and twisted love story.
