A Beautiful & Emotional Second Chance Romance

This is a very emotional second chance romance. Ford and Haylee's love story began years ago and their love was meant to last forever, That all changed after high school graduation when Ford walked away without one single word of goodbye. Now, eight years later fate draws these two back together for another shot at a HEA. Can Ford convince Haylee to forgive him and risk her heart again? Will secrets tear them further apart? These characters are complex, the story moving, the plot engaging, and the emotions strong. Ford, Haylee, and Atlee's story is sure to touch your heart. It is beautiful, real and unique. An absolutely amazing read that I highly recommend. This book offers single narration only but the narrator delivers a very enjoyable and entertaining performance. Another excellent entry in a truly wonderful series.

Real life!

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. Colleen Charles is a new author to me. She writes with such emotion and heart about real life situations. Her character and plot development are outstanding. As a teacher my biggest goal was to see my students succeed and be happy. Haylee is a hard working mother who puts her daughter first. She still loves Ford but she doesn't understand why he left her. When she sees that Ford has come home she worries about what will happen when he learns that he is a father. Haylee and Ford both have a great support team. The narrator does an excellent job of portraying the emotions and personalities of these characters. He gives them distinctive voices and brings this story to life. I highly recommend this Audible book.

Touching second chance story!!

Haylee has struggled since the love of her life walked away eight years ago. Ford is a billionaire, but still regrets his inability to find the girlfriend he left behind. He will never have kids because he recently found out he has the Aspergers gene.

A fabulous story that shows it’s not what is in your bank account which indicates you have a full life.
Great repairing of this relationship.

Hard to Press Pause

I love the Caldwell Brothers and their stories! Kickback follows Ford and the one that got away from him. I enjoyed finally hearing his story. I loved the back and forth between Ford and Haylee. There was quite a bit of drama that kept me turning the page and the one we all love to hate Dante makes an appearance.

The narration was amazing! The distinct voices all came from the same narrator but each character had their own voice. I find this is essential to being pulled into the story!

I would definitely recommend this listen! I truly had a hard time pressing pause on this one.
