Kane is the only man who can see right through Aideen's tough exterior. He knows her deepest and darkest secrets. They can't stand each other, but they want each other. Badly. They hide their need behind arguments and banter, but when Kane drops his guard for all to see and succumbs to an illness within his body, it's Aideen who steps up to the plate to take care of him.

An illness is the least of their worries when a devil from Kane's past comes back to play with him. Everybody in Kane's life is threatened, and with his body fighting against him he doesn't know if the luck of the Irish is enough to keep his family safe and his demons at bay.

Kane needs Aideen, and what Kane needs, Kane takes.

his story is soo tragic and beautiful... and for him to find himself in this story... it's amazing!

each of the brothers comes with their own woman. each of the brothers comes with their own problems. But they all come with laughs and GOOD story to keep you listening and wanting more.i love a series , when the end comes I'm disappointed there isn't another, even if there is twenty books. And this is one of them. Hope you enjoy as much as I did/do. As i will probably have to re-listen to them When I go back to work tomorrow. Happy reading all

Phenomenal book to the Slater brothers series

I have re-read the Slater books and the girl’s novellas that I after I started Alec’s book I decided to use a credit for audible. Loved the narrator and how her voice brought the book to life for me in a new way that I was excited to listen to Kane’s book. I loved it even more for I was able to drive or exercise while listening. Would recommend to anyone. L.A. Casey is a phenomenal writer as well. Must read series!

Everyone's Monster

When you are falling apart at the seems and don't know why it's scary and hell. When your brothers girlfriend has a friend who dosen't take your crap one thing leads to another and you're the Monster all over again

TERRIBLE NARRATOR

I don’t like to leave bad reviews but this book was just okay to me. But even worse was the narrator. Her Irish accent is perfect and I’m sure that’s what she was chosen for, but she cannot do male voices (or more specifically, American male voices). It’s like she didn’t even try and was reading as herself instead of in character. I found myself skipping through most of the brothers parts because her voice would take away from the story. Very disappointed.

So tiresome

After listening to the the h in the first two books snarl and bitch at the H I thought this book would be different Why? Because her friend, Aedine, was fairly nice in those two books. Unfortunately she took over with the unnecessary bitching, complaining and threatening Kane for hardly any reason at all.

After a one night of unprotected drunken sex she gets pregnant. He is happy, wants to take care of her and the baby and wants her to move into his house so he can make sure she is fine. Apparently these are reasons to scream and yell and act like a bratty two year old. I highly doubt that these women are representative of other Irish women.

The narrator is fairly annoying in that she barely makes and differentiation among the characters other than the males have American accents.

The actual story is overly descriptive about irritating details like how she uses the restrooms. She writes these characters like they are high school children. Not much plot that I can find other than complaining a LOT!

It was part of the romance package or I would ask for my money back

Nothing happens for way too long

The start to the book us dramatic and gripping, but it quickly loses steam. The fact that Aideen's voice is much deeper than Kane's took me out of the story. Very Male things were said in female voice and it was distracting. The back and forth was lackluster. I gave up a few chapters in.
