Resumen del Editor

National Best Seller

A unique, unfiltered memoir from the NBA champion and 15-time all-star ahead of his induction into the Hall of Fame.

Kevin Garnett was one of the most dominant players the game of basketball has ever seen. He was also one of its most outspoken. Over the course of his illustrious 21-year NBA career, he elevated trash talk to an art form and never shied away from sharing his thoughts on controversial subjects.

In KG: A to Z, published ahead of Garnett’s induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame, he looks back on his life and career with the same raw candor. Garnett describes the adversity he faced growing up in South Carolina before ultimately relocating to Chicago, where he became one of the top prospects in the nation. He details his headline-making decision to skip college and become the first player in two decades to enter the draft directly from high school, starting a trend that would be followed by future superstars like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. He shares stories of playing with and against Bryant, James, Michael Jordan, and other NBA greats, and he chronicles his professional ups and downs, including winning a championship with the Boston Celtics. He also speaks his mind on a range of topics beyond basketball, such as fame, family, racism, spirituality, and music.

Garnett’s draft decision wasn’t the only way he’d forever change the game. His ability to play on the perimeter as a big man foreshadowed the winning strategy now universally adopted by the league. He applies this same innovative spirit here, organizing the contents alphabetically as an encyclopedia. If you thought Kevin Garnett was exciting, inspiring, and unfiltered on the court, just wait until you hear what he has to say in this audiobook.

Thank you KG!

I've been a big fan of KG. I love his intensity and the way he plays the game. When I saw that he had released a book I immediately checked audible. It only took me 3 days to finish this book. I wish it was KG that narrated the book even though the narrator did a great job. Will definitely listen to it again and keep this in my library. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!!!!

How a life lived in change is lived well

I’m a casual NBA fan, and got this book because of my interest in alternative views. Mr. Garnett grew up poor, (in terms of wealth) but what was lacking in the bank account was more than made up for by the wealth of inspiration, perspiration, imagination and determination Ticket showed as a baller, leader and humane human. His story and his insight on the human condition from a young age to today is more than worth the time to any reader who is searching for a spark to light the flame of commitment. Recently, Mr Garnett was honored by the Boston Celtics who retired his jersey number 5. Look up the video of him raising the jersey, a part of the way through he stops overcome with emotion. As he continues to raise his jersey to the rafters, tears are streaming down his face. This tells me that he is a genuine person and a role model for his time. Thank you Mr Garnett.

Different but really cool spin on audiobook. Informative and interesting…in typical Kevin Garrett fashion

That was different!

This was definitely not like any book I have ever listened too! It was written like how we think all over the place but yet easy to follow. It was interesting and I like the different stories on how he went through the alphabet. It was like listening to a bunch of Mimi shorts. If you are a linear listener it might not intrigue your interest.
