Excellent court scene and thinking on the fly

I really enjoyed this book especially when it got into the court scene.
There was some very interesting twists an exciting turns throughout the story

One of David Ellis' best.

I've read/listen to many books by David Ellis and this is one of my favorites. I was caught up immediately and could stop listening. I didn't think I would like the narration by a woman but Sandra Burr did an excellent job. Good story Good performance.

Just meh

First, the narrator. Such an irritating voice! Marked on my list so I don’t pick her again. Next, the story line. It wasn’t great BUT I didn’t see the ending coming so I was generous with a 3. The characters were not well thought out, not natural, and not believable. As I said … a generous 3. I got this because I like the author (check out “The best lies” and “Look closer”) and I wanted to read one of his earlier works. I can see glimpses of what David Ellis would one day become in this book, but he wasn’t yet there.

Bad narration

Don't bother with this book. I only got through the first 25 minutes before giving up, largely because of the narrator.
