Trying to prove he’s a team player, Maxwell agrees to accompany Royce on his week-long tree-felling adventure. It’s a chance to spend some quality time with Royce, and also get a break from Rainy Dale.

All guests are required to turn in their cell phones upon arrival, because Giggly Elves Farm is for people who yearn to escape modern-day stresses. Maxwell endures a lumpy mattress and high sodium meals of bacon, beans, and more bacon, with a fairly good attitude. But when a freak storm washes out the road back home, Maxwell begins to feel the strain.

Things turn downright terrifying when a guest is found stabbed to death in the reindeer barn, and all of the cell phones are found destroyed. It seems there’s a murderer on the loose, and he or she has a very different interpretation of how to bring out the holiday spirit in others.

Max and Royse

They are wonderful together. Royce's patience with Max has finally been rewarded. Now we have River trying to undermine them. Hopefully they will find a way to stop him.

Good story. Good narration.

If you are looking for a M/M murder mystery series with character development and very good narration this is a good pick. I am a bit skeptical of some of the police and medical procedures, but I would have to actually do research to know if there were any inaccuracies. I am enjoying this series because I like to see Maxwell learning to adapt to small town life and because the mysteries usually have an interesting twist.

Really enjoyed hearing the characters come to life through voice. The voices were phenomenal for each of them.

Good book

this story had me guessing whom did what.not was great to see them get along so well and
trying to figure out the bad guys . Matt Haynes does the audible justice , and im.waiting for the next installment . if one is surprised by the amount of crimes in such a small town ,its not unusual to me . seems more of the world is noticing more ill gains , but thankfully the stories here have happy endings .

A Pleasant Surprise

SC W is a bit inconsistent, but this series overall is both cozy mystery and has some non fluff content. Good for her and looking forward to when the last couple books come on audio.

I am so in love with this series and this is another amazing addition. It is amazing to be back with Max and Royce and all the people of Rainy Dale. These two just can't catch a break even during Christmas time. This is another amazing mystery that had twist and turn that me at the edge of my seat. Matt Haynes has done another amazing job with this narration. I absolutely can't wait for the next one to be on audio. Such an amazing series!

Wow

What a fantastic addition to the series. This book grabbed my heart and would not let go. There were moments of yelling and we'll some crying to. ( because I'm one of those people that like to cry at commercials I just can't help it). I love these two so much. This story was so well written and I absolutely love the narrator. They make beautiful things happen together. I highly recommend this series and the book. ❤️

Matt Haynes does an outstanding job of bringing this book to life.
I am once again captivated by the story telling of S.C. Wynne.
It's a Wonderful Knife is a terrific addition to the Dr. Maxwell Thornton Murder Mysteries series.
Watching Maxwell adjust to small town life is epic! I love how he really puts forth such effort to be a good partner to Royce.
That this inevitabley ends in some sort of chaos is just an added bonus.
I loved the murder/mystery component of this story. I was drawn in and kept guessing throughout the story. There were enough twists and turns to satisfy this mystery lover.
I can't wait for more Max/Royce stories!
