I wanted to first congratulate you for buying (or thinking about buying) It’s OK to Talk to Strangers and not “judging a book, by it’s cover.” The title is a bit odd, I can admit, but I believe you will agree with what I mean when I say it’s okay to talk to strangers, and the other ideas and concepts expressed in this book as you listen.

It is easier to build a child up than it is to fix a broken adult. This book’s mission is to provide a new perspective, not on how to raise our children, but on how to incorporate life lessons, ancient wisdom, and new age philosophies into their lives at an early age so that they will be well equipped to handle what life throws at them as they get older. It’s much easier to learn something than it is to “unlearn” bad habits or ways of thinking. We don't want broken down, depressed children, we want confident, free-spirited, kick-ass kids who are ready to make a difference in this world! Such a task requires them to be able to handle any kind of situation, good or bad, and that's what they'll get from this book. It's time to think differently and to teach differently than we've been taught and that includes the age old warning of “Don’t talk to strangers!”

That warning should be expanded upon in my opinion because if we didn’t talk to strangers, we’d never meet our soulmate, a new friend, or potential business partner. We should also instill in our children the power of thought, being self-disciplined vs having to be disciplined by a parent or teacher, and most importantly, how to handle money! Ideas like this along with other topics on meditation, exercise, and a good diet all can be found in this book. The best part is that it’s laid out with examples for us to easily explain to our children. I wholeheartedly believe this book can help change the world if you believe in the concepts proposed. Be the change you want to see in our children so they can learn from your example. Couple this with continuing to educate your children long after they leave school and watch what kind of impact it will have on them. I hope you enjoy it, and thank you for thinking differently!
