Acerca de esta escucha

There is a tragic epidemic going on around us - a dreadful disconnect between human beings and the real world we live in. We are paying frightfully little attention to our real-world surroundings. We are addicted to digital devices.

It's time for us to swallow a healthy dose of reality and find balance between our digital lives and our flesh-and-blood relationships. Steve Krupnik's satirical analysis of "digital junkies" makes a clear case that technology is advancing much more rapidly than its users. He turns his keen eye to smart phones, social media, video games, and texting, humorously revealing their negative impact on society.

Listeners may disagree with his perspective, but it is hard to deny that digital devices are changing our lives in ways that may not be in our best interest.

50% of the world is guaranteed to hate this just because of the introduction section alone. The other 50% will probably hate it because Steve is pompous and full of himself. However, if you're in the minority for whom the message is more important than the messenger... there's a lot of good stuff here which while touched on in other social media trashings… isn't covered as well. Completely recommend this. Probably would even go for a beer with the author as long as we agreed to talk about something other than him first.
