Lost among galaxies, Adam must use his imagination to forge a path home before his body dies on the operating table. But even if he does return to Earth, he may end up locked inside a damaged brain forever.

Great story, but

I did like this story enough to complete listening to it. I believe it was too predictable. I knew by the 15th chapter or so how the story would end: with a very good cliff hanger! Was it real, or just a very good genius of a doctor? I do recommend this book. Now for the obligatory: "I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

It's a different kind of sci fi story

I had a hard time getting into this story, the premise sounded interesting but I just couldn't get immersed into the story, it just wasn't for me. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great listen!

Throughout this entire listen, I couldn't help but wonder, within the scope of the book, if it was real. I concluded that I didn't care. This wonderful story felt real.

The story started out normal enough with a high school scuffle and the parents being called to the principal's office. Everything that happened afterward was every parent's nightmare. That story on its own was incredibly compelling and it brought me to tears.

The intraterrestrial fight was its own story. It wasn't always clear who would win, or how.

Through it all, the narration kept the story flowing. That was no easy feat when you consider the back and forth nature of the story.

So, this came across like metephor... In other words, like a sci fi explanation someone would write to cope with their child being in a coma. As a parent, there were definitely scenes that tugged at my heart strings. The narration was done well. My interest was held throughout. Although this wasn't my favorite listen, it is worth checking out.
