The book is awesome but

Sooo, this book would have gotten a full 5 stars bc it's amazing, so is the narration!!
Gave overall 5 stars, narration 5 but story only 4 bc of all the inconsistencies through out that doesn't jive with the first book.
This book is worth the credit if you liked the first book but be warned.
I relistened to the first book then started this one and it really was jarring how from ending the first book to starting the next the MC forgot that he told Woods a very important thing.
Through out the book this has happened, it takes away from the story but... it doesn't. The story itself is great.
I'm going to say I really enjoyed this book but wish someone would have caught these errors.
I will be purchasing the next in series for sure even though there are inconsistentsies bc I love the characters and want to know what happens next.

Great follow up to book 1

Loved this book more than the first one. There’s some great slice of life elements, action, a touch of romance, and an emotional ending.
The characters have really grown on me. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next one.

nothing happened.

I enjoyed the first book but this one already felt like filler which is very concerning as its only the second book. I really felt that few of the interesting parts of the story progressed and a lot of time was spent on character interactions that had no real value. this was compounded by the fact that the book is quite short. I really didn't enjoy where they took this book. I'm not going to share details but the direct conflict in this book was disappointing and it came far too soon. this conflict should have been pushed to book 4+ after the existing basics had a chance to get explored. he's supposed to be a farmer and his farm didn't progress at all... just too much empty air and not enough meat...
