This is a sort of friendly fire, one that invites, incites, attacks and embraces those who enter. The heat is now different. A slower darker red, hotter and more thoughtful. Evolved from dancing, obvious flames of yellow orange and blue. Not damaged goods, but battle scarred. Cynical optimism and observations of a life in progress. Building, creating an internal inferno that crackles with a skeptical hope. Once a punk rock banshee, his soul is true. Still dancing on the tips of daggers. Spitting our epithets more gently, observations that have an edge so sharp you can’t feel the cut till it bleeds. Dancing in a different way, feet now leave those footsteps deeper. And more permanent. Sexdrugsrockandroll morph into a monster much more powerful. Embracing the somewhat controlled blaze….
