Bryce was crushed when Madison left him and never really got over her. When she comes back into his life, he's set to destroy her dream in order to keep his. Spending time with her makes him realize that despite the years their love is still there and what he really wants is that life they planned. But they have to keep their relationship a secret or both their careers could be ruined by all the people out to stop them from reaching their dreams. Their road to HEA is not an easy one, full of emotional ups and downs, but in the end love finds a way.
The narrator does a great job bringing this story to life. Subtle accents and distinct voices for each character make for a good listen. She also puts all the animation and emotion into the story that it deserves.

Madison Charles dreamed of owning the Orlando Hurricanes pro football team. Her father successfully ran the team and that was the life she wanted. It became her goal to get her law degree, her MBA and then, upon her father's passing, assume her rightful ownership. With a Board of Trustees running the team now, she would have to prove to them that, beyond a doubt, she was ready for the job. Bryce Willheight is the star quarterback of the Hurricanes and Madison's college boyfriend. His whole life, he dreamed of playing professional football and going early in the draft. They planned a future together before their goals clashed. They split ten years ago when her ambition forced her to "let him go." She thought it best that they concentrate on their goals, not each other, and Bryce walked away from her. Now, after all these years, they are back in the same city, same facility and each other's lives. Sparks fly when they see each other for the first time and they're the very same sparks from college. Nothing has changed! Neither one fell out of love with the other and this could present a challenge. She has signed a contract that prevents her from becoming involved with any member of the team or staff. If not messy, it certainly turns things crazy as she and Bryce try to navigate a relationship without getting caught. There are people around her who want to see her fail in her quest for ownership. Jealousy, treachery and conniving people try to take them both down, but life has a way of making things right, the way they should be. The journey is exciting, maddening, loving, sweet and there's no doubt that Bryce and Mads deserve every bit of their HEA. The epilogue ties this story together in a truly satisfying sense! This is the first book in the Inherit Love series and I'm anxious to see what McKenna James has next on the horizon. I highly recommend this excellent book! The narration is wonderfully done by Beth Roeg. Each character has its own personality and sound!
