Didn’t really like the narrator

The narration tone and delivery in this book was completely different than the first two books. I found this to be very jarring and a break in continuity. I also found this most recent narrator to be on the melodramatic side, and generally kind of annoying. Otherwise I really liked the story and the series.

The worst narrator in the history of narration.

I liked the story. I liked all the loose ends being tied up mostly. But I could almost not get through the book because the narrator ruined it.

Penny Royal's story was worth the wait

The voices the narrator chose for most of the AI's and female characters, however, were dreadful.

Like riding on the outer edge of a slinky.

Much better with the new narrator. He made it easier to track the characters and definitely expanded the experience. The writing is decent.
This series is more horror than scify. Like hard-core 70's horror.
If you're interested in body mods/body horror this series is for you. And vicious alien sex. Torture. All kinds of murder. Obsession. Bizarre isn't even close.
Wanted to quit but my OCD husband wouldn't let me. Plot is very circular and frustrating. Lots of action.

Another great book from one of my favorite authors. Yet not a great performance.

Been looking forward to listening to this third book in the series. One of my favorites by Asher. Yet the narration is lackluster, some slightly annoying voicing and pacing. Overall a great book, worth the listen. Just not my favorite to relisten to.
