Michael’s study of the inexpressibly amazing word which conveys “the defining characteristic of God”
encourages us to respond to God’s hesed, His lovingkindness, by doing hesed in return and offering hesed to others, who like ourselves are undeserving. Even though we deserve nothing, we may boldly ask God to give us everything, for that is who God is. And we reminded of the profound cost of doing hesed, but that we may delight in it even as God delights in doing hesed even though our redemption cost God everything. His is a transforming love, grace, and truth.
