Resumen del Editor

In the aftermath of her mother's murder, Paige Winterbourne broke with the elite, ultraconservative American Coven of Witches. Now her goal is to start a new coven for a new generation.

But while Paige pitches her vision to uptight 30-something witches in business suits, a more urgent matter commands her attention. Someone is murdering the teenage offspring of the underworld's most influential cabals - a circle of families that makes the mob look like amateurs. And none is more powerful than the Cortez Cabal, a faction Paige is intimately acquainted with.

Lucas Cortez, the rebel son and unwilling heir, is none other than her boyfriend. But love isn't blind, and Paige has her eyes wide open as she is drawn into a hunt for an unnatural-born killer. Pitted against shamans, demons, and goons, it's a battle chilling enough to make a wild young woman grow up in a hurry - if she gets the chance.

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

I like the way Armstrong links characters

It seems that Kelly Armstrong knows how to create characters that can go from one story to another. I love the way she brings each character into different stories. I really like Armstrong's method of writing. Always fun.

Narrator -Thumbs up!

Definitely a much better narrator. Really enjoyed this story. Although it felt rushed at the end, the story and the characters working together and their chemistry is great.

Some of the best reading I've yet heard.

Laural Merlington has a way of bringing the characters to life like no other narrator I have yet listened to.

I'm going to go find what else she narrates.

An Entertaining Story

What made the experience of listening to Industrial Magic the most enjoyable?

As the continuing story of the romance of Paige Winterborn and Lucas Cortez makes it's way into a second novel the supernatural mayhem abounds. It is a very engaging tale of magic, supernatural beings, and mystery!

What other book might you compare Industrial Magic to and why?

In some ways this reminds me of The Hollows series by Kim Harrison because it features a strong female lead, good humorous undertones, and quite a bit of adventure in the supernatural world.

Which scene was your favorite?

I particularly liked the scene where Paige first met Jamie Vegas.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Nope, it was just a light enjoyable tale about murder and romance in the supernatural world.

Action packed

Great story that made me want to know what happened next all the way through. I lost a lot of sleep trying to find out what happened next. lol I am a fan of Elaina and Clay so I put off getting this book. I'm glad I finally got it. It was worth it.

Give it a chance WARNING “mild spoilers from Stolen”

I admit, much like other readers I did not like this book to begin with, however I think that it is due to the fact that the first two books are about Clay and Elena. You fall in love with those two characters, become engrossed in their world and you can’t wait to read more about them....then all of a sudden Armstrong switches gears and starts writing about this new character, Paige, a character that you not only learn to despise in Stolen but you learn to despise her through the eyes of two of your most beloved characters. That doesn’t make for a very warm welcome to a story that is written all about her, and not just her, she has a young ward who acts like a spoiled brat. It’s hard to think that you will enjoy such a story. I kept reading, and read all the books, then I read them all over again, and now I am “reading” them again through audiobook. I love all of the characters. You will learn to love Paige as she grows up and Armstrong flushes her out a bit. She becomes less annoying and so does Savannah. I’m so happy that Armstrong weaved such an intricate world where we have tons of characters intertwined into one big huge story. This story is part of that bigger story, it’s a puzzle piece that eventually makes one big huge puzzle. Give it a chance. Armstrong’s Otherworld is worth diving into no matter which direction it goes in. As far as the audiobook goes, this narrator is not as great as the one who read Bitten, but MUCH better than the one who read Stolen. Except for a small few it looks as though she is the one they have chosen to read the rest of the series so you got to learn to like her if you’re gonna listen to it on audiobook.

decent story, annoying narrator.

Another reasonably good addition to a fun series, but you have to have a high level of tolerance or an abnormal boredom level to rate the narrator as anything other than annoying. the fake "laughs" are enough to make you cringe over wanting to see what happens next. I eventually grew accustomed to being annoyed for sake of the story, but wow, really... get somebody else to perform.. This poor girl is painful.

Love This Series

We've enjoyed everything we've heard from Kelley Armstrong. Her characters are interesting and quirky, and we look forward to future releases.

Not all "brain candy" books are paced right to be engaging as audiobooks - either they move too fast and you end up feeling like the main characters are skating through their lives, or too slowly and you get distracted by your own thoughts instead of listening to them. Kelley Armstrong's books "work" in this format.
