Ernest, Jr. is determined to take his rightful place as their father’s heir-apparent, and he'll do whatever it takes to keep himself at the top, even if it means backstabbing his siblings and making sure his father never recovers. 

As the summer heats up, Desiree finds herself in the midst of jealousy, piling secrets, and strong, unexpected feelings for another woman’s husband. Will she stand and face it all, or will she run like she did so many years ago?

Enjoyed this book, I could stop listening!! Definite cliff hanger. I need the ending....l want to know what happens to everyone in the family.....like now, lol!!

Great book, dissatisfied with the ending. Is there a part 2 to this somewhere to wrap up all of the loose ends?

The Ending Though?

It was a great book until the ending. Maybe there is a sequel that I am not privy to. Did not like the ending at all. Just fell flat for me! I will definitely listen to the writer’s other books....but this ending!

I like how this was more of a sophisticated murder mystery versus her usual flint, demeanor I like it a bit slower, and not as much action, but still a great story of the same

It started a little slow but it wasn't bad. I would read book 2 in the series
