Engaging Telling of History

Really loved this book and was ready to purchase the next in the series, until I realized the author’s other books are in Spanish. I hope those are also translated to English soon!

Caesar Fan Fiction

This is a fun listen, although it seemed more to me like fan fiction than a plausible story of Caesar’s life. Caesar, Marius and Sulla behave and are voiced like Simba, Mustafa and Scar, respectively. But the action moves along and I looked forward to finding out what would happen next.

I really enjoyed this book. Very well written and made you feel like you were there witnessing what was happening.

I lost the book. It was very well written. I think the title is a little bit misleading and while Julius Caesar is the main character, the book is about the set up for Julius Caesar to take over Rome.

one of the best works on Julius Caesar I've encountered. presented as the kind of person he likely really was and not as those who opposed him presented him.

Entertaining

This was entertaining. It is about the young Julius Caesar and the beginnings of what made him the historical superstar of ancient Rome. Well narrated, it moves along nicely.

The Masters of Rome Series has spoiled me

This was not a bad story but I think I have been spoiled by other authors… The Masters of Rome Series and Marius’s Mules…
