He's one of the most skilled alien engineers in the galaxy. And he's got my motor running.

I can't get enough of Montier. Those broad, golden shoulders and big arms that want to sweep me off my feet.... Those alien bedroom eyes that look into my soul.... Those abs that I want to feast on.... It's enough to make any human woman swoon.

Except we don't have time to swoon when we're in constant danger. The people who kidnapped me have chased me around the galaxy, and they're not giving up. We don't know why they want me and my friends so much. Hell, we don't even know who they are.

Until Montier finds something that could blow this thing wide open. It's a gamble, but we're willing to wager everything. It's dangerous, but the alternative is death.

This gorgeous horned alien man is my fated mate. He's sworn to protect me till the last star vanishes. And now he's going to lay it all on the line to keep me safe.

Because otherwise we're all going to die.

Contains mature themes.

The human women were falsely arrested by the IHA. They were then given to mercenaries who took them to be sold as slaves. Those who were rescued by the pirates were accused of espionage and ruthlessly hunted. The pirates are helping the women find out why. This book gets them closer to the inner rot behind their capture.

Getting closer to the rot

I love the series but hate how they seem to just whip it out in the midst of danger so much. And I’m still mad about their crew mate sacrificing everything so they could escape in the last book.

Love the Series

I have loved the previous books in this series. This one made me pause and reevaluate if I should continue with the series. The scene in the Auctioneer's office had me wanting to DNF. They decide to get down and dirty in the middle of a heist? While everyone is in danger, they risk their lives to rescue her and the main characters decide to have sex? Then the FMC decides to do a strip tease and ask the MMC to "make it rain" on her? Then the FMC later on in book decides to chastise another character on being too smart with no common sense? Yeah my least favorite book in this series.

Lack of Common Sense

Firstly, they wouldn’t rescue the female crew member who was to be sold off in a slave market, but in the end jump to rescue the male crew member? I get they needed to move to the next book, but, please ladies, consistency.

Build up to spicy and then…nope. With all the clichés and boring borrowed storylines, from female human sex slaves to double-donged aliens with horns (and the authors went for horns being rare in this universe…but they are the number one, non-human feature given to aliens in these romances), they couldn’t find one navel concept…fated mates, check…horned, tall, muscular aliens, check…human sex slaves, check…alluding to anal, check, check, check, check….boring.
