My name is Julie Hoffman. I am a 44-year-old mother of two. I was an A/R supervisor for an oil company for 21 long years until the day they outsourced my job, and I suddenly found myself unemployed. I was devastated, heartbroken and felt betrayed all at the same time. I had $18,632 in my company retirement account, and they paid me two weeks of salary as a severance payment.

After recovering from the shock, I started to apply for any and all jobs I could find online, but sadly didn't even land one interview.
