Was disappointed.
as someone who is interested in the monastic life and the Rule of Benedict in particular, I was disappointed with these volumes. I'm fairness their are some insightful things here and there ( How to Be much more so than How to Live) but the books are weighted down by what can I only call " humble bragging" You will hear multiple times about working for prestigious papers and awards and a former boss things didn't well with followed or proceeded by a brief mention of the Rule. it felt like an autobiography more than anything else.
