Very Good Content, but...

The content of this book is relatively authoritative in as much as it is well supported by the author's research and first-hand interviews. Of some concern however, is the author's seeming lack of understanding of the true ramifications of the concept of globalization from the standpoint of the continuing viability and sovereignty of nation-states. The continuing evolution of regional economic coalitions, as suggested by the author, are indeed a viable solution for small and medium sized countries as a strategy for pushing back against China and its growing aggression. But not at the cost of losing their sovereignty and self- directedness.

In contrast to the very good content of this book however, is the very poor performance of the reader. His reading of the text can be described as nothing short of lazy. His consistent mispronounciation of words (such as, "forward" being pronounced, "foe-ward") and his failure to carefully enunciate every syllable in multi-syllabic words is extremely annoying. A book of this kind is filled with the words of an author with a superior vocabulary that includes the technical terms appurtenant to his subject matter. This deserves a reader whose capacity to articulate the pronunciation of that technicality is commensurate with the content of the book.
