Herbert West-Reanimator is an outstanding horror story by H. P. Lovecraft that was first serialized in February through July 1922 in the amateur publication Home Brew. The story was the basis of the 1985 horror film Re-Animator and its sequels, in addition to numerous other adaptations in various media. You want zombies? Real zombies? Any additional comments?

I often times like to read the source material for my favorite movies - especially shorts and novellas. Although this short is to be taken seriously (unlike the campy movie), it and the movie are great companions. If you are a fan of the movie, or just Lovecraft, check this one out. Definitely worth the 90 minutes.
