I've been listening to a lot of books on personal growth etc and have started to see a running theme. People pleasing. This was one of the things that gave me a lightbulb moment when thinking about why I never ask for a promotion or negotiate hard. I want to look like a good person. This book has helped me dispel this notion, make me realise that the imaginary demons are all in my head. No longer do I make a fuss and tell everyone except my boss I need more money I went directly to him, and it's obvious to say it wasn't half as bad as I imagined and have earned a new level of respect. The narration is nice and expressive.

As someone who always dreaded negotiating, I found this book useful in guiding me as to how to start difficult conversations centered on my own benefit. This book provides many ways in which you can prepare yourself when it comes to having conversation centered on a business deal, a raise or when needing to stand up for yourself.
