Relatable, but sad.

Characters are great and the story went somewhere I didn't realize it would. Great and very sad as someone who's lost both parents recently.

So very real and uncontrived. But now I’m sobbing quietly. This story is very well written. I highly recommend it.

Totally different Jade West

This is not your typical Jade West story. Yes it has the strong attraction and intricate relationship dynamic but the love story is so much more.
I found it to be her most introspective writing, and I’ve pretty much read or listened to most of her books. It really is almost inspirational to a certain extent. The secondary character, the mother, has so much to teach us about how we should all live our lives.
In my opinion, it’s a really good departure from Jane West norm. If you’re on the fence about whether or not to listen to the story, then let me help. You jump over the fence and definitely go ahead and listen.

This toe my emotions up 🥹🥹

This is for sure a slow burn. The early chapters were at times difficult to get through, but it was worth it in the end. It provided time for characters development and for me to get emotionally invested in the characters. Spice was maybe 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 in my opinion. Be ready to cry if you’re a crier.

The tenderness of each character.

I love a good romance story and I love the “mature” content describing the romance. This one covers it all.

Expected more

It’s the definition of a budding romance. However, FMC did make the character sound like she was 40. It’s a beautiful story, just not what I expected

Love the way the author mixed in so many levels of how love can be expressed and felt.

Emotional-Erotic-thought provoking

My first listen by this author and what a surprise. This is not a typical romance, it's is sad throughout. The story is written in such a way you can feel the personality and emotions of the characters. It is also a story about living life to the fullest with positivity and caring for others. I thought about this story after it finished. The narrators were perfect for this story.
