Resumen del Editor

A story of love as the little angel does everything to save his guitar-playing little sister from the ultimate sin, as she insists on taking her wild music and even wilder love to hell.

Heaven’s Rocker is the most recent volume in the Ruthfinn little angel romances and the prequel to the stunning The Lady and the Dragon.

An intensely moving tale of love and sacrifice, which will surprise you.

Beautiful mass

Ruth Finnegan is one of those authors whose style I could only describe as ‘extremely creative chaos’ with Heaven’s Rocker being a fine example of this unique style of hers and I must say I absolutely ]love it.

The plot seems very random at first, with angel’s little sister (notice how the writer deliberately does not call her an angel herself), decides to go to hell to play some rock, for the haven’s music is too boring apparently.

I love how word repetition is used to create music imitation. Also it is very interesting how at times the characters start using rhyming words, mostly when they are panicking. I think this is a very clever writing technique and more writers should be using it.

I admire how cleverly Finnegan transmits the idea of the teenage rebel and overall confused teenager nature. The idea that, at times, those around the tanagers should let them do their mistakes, no matter how hard one wants to shield their loved one, and be there to support the teen after is just priceless.

In terms of the audiobook, I must say that I was a little bit disappointed that the book was not narrated by Finnegan herself. Although the narrator is trying his best to pass the intended mood/atmosphere/artistic chaos to the listener, I feel like the book would sound so much better if it was the author telling the story. Something in me is just sure it would.

The narrator is being a bit too slow also. But luckily this is easy to fix with the adjustable Audible player speed.

Overall, I think this book can interest those poetic, creative ones who are on the look for something different, yet easy-to-read/listen. I personally would call it art-house-adult-fairy-tale sparkled with the British essence on top.
