More Than Just Diablo's History

For both Blizzard and Blizzard North fans alike, these TWO books uncover so much of our beloved game studio's thoughts, developmental processes, antics, and involvement with one another. From the humble start of Condor and Silicon & Synapse to Blizzard North and Blizzard "South", and finally the bitter, crashing, and controversial end of the post-Diablo 2 years & era.

There's so much content in these for me to indulge in and enjoy, these books are constantly on my yearly audiobook rotations.

Great Story, Decent Narration

I loved the first book and have waited years for the follow up to cover my all time favorite game. This book has a much better structure than the first(not reintroducing the same characters with their full name and title multiple times a chapter) and is more suited to an audiobook this time around. The Narration leaves a lot to be desired. Well read and engaging but a lot of mispronunciations especially when it comes to place and character names in the story or run of the mill fantasy terms like ‘magi’. This is a far cry from the first where the narrator even nailed a Deckard Cain impression when quoting the title.

But now it’s the fall instead or the rise. Buckle up for more drama than you can shake a stick at.
